Tomato

Tomato plants grow well in hydroponics; plants come in two types determinate and indeterminate. Indeterminate are a vine and can grow to 40 feet in large hydroponic bays.  Indoor in the home you want to use a determinate instead of an indeterminate plant, Determinates have a maximum height usually 3 to 4 feet tall. When grown indoors in an air conditioned home plants should be sprayed with water twice per day to keep the plants from drying. If the humidity is below 40% this help maintain the plant.

In the photo gallery below you can see tomato plant in a pot planted from a cutting of a plant growing and producing in the hydroponic room, the plant quickly grows tomatoes after its initial limp phase after planting. The next picture shows a Roma tomato plant with a large amount of tomatoes in a DWS. The plant grew so many tomatoes that it absorbed so much calcium from the nutrients causing a calcium deficiency that can easily identified and corrected. Zooming out the picture you can clearly see a tomato with a brown area underneath, called (Bottom rot) or (blossom end rot)
